Mercurial Mercury makes Wednesday right for messages

Mercury is the winged-messenger who delivers a lot more that flowers. He's the trickster who flies between earth and hell, guiding souls on their journey. In mythology the hero or heroine must always make a descent into hell before returning to earth to claim their prize. Without help from the god of communications, we either don't make the descent (fail our mission) or, perhaps worse, make the descent but fail to return. So, let's honor Mercury as Wednesday's Muse, and call a meeting, talk things over.

Aries (March 20-April 19)
Your fiery spirit needs more than one outlet today or you'll spike a fever! Your mind is firing idea after idea with straightforward, even graceful, rhythm. You can tell someone that truth you've been realizing, without any hurt feelings. Trust your intuition. It's inspired.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)
Mother Moon is snuggling up to you with whispers of warm cookies in the oven. You're wishing for that childhood place of just being taken care of--without thought of return. Declare this a lay-back day. You can afford to just let your lucky star do the work for you. You're also perfectly fine with waiting for some one else to make the first move today. Good things do indeed come to the Taurus who only waits.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)
For over a year now the great organizer, Saturn, has been happily filing, cleaning out the cobwebs on your top bookshelves, and dropping serious "hints" about the wisdom of an internet (or long distance) relationship. Now the doubt and uncertainty clears. You see your ideals are actually very well lined up with realities. You act from a calm center. Today is a wonderful day to stop and indulge yourself with something soothing and warm. Ground your body before the exciting New Moon tomorrow tickles all your fancies.

Cancer (June 21-July 21)
As the Moon Child of the zodiac, you benefit the most when the Moon is in a compatible sign--as it is today. Those close to you will love your warmth and generosity. You won't feel like going by the rules, and self-discipline may be low (who cares??) but you can sit back and enjoy the rewards from your relationships. No demands. Allow discoveries about yourself to come to you. You're in the mood to be open and honest--but you want that to go both ways.

Leo (July 22-August 22)
Like the Sun, who is the "ruler" of the sign Leo, everyone loves to have you shine your light on them. That's so easy for you to do today, without loosing any of your stately dignity. You're absolutely bright with solar power (and this is only a warm-up for the nearly-nuclear blast you'll get from tomorrow's New Moon eclipse). You have internal quakes while your unconscious is remodeling the basement, but trust that you will like the new you (not that you need improving!). A different activity will fit your lively energy.

Virgo (August 23-September 22)
You're juggling three powerful forces these days that insist on depth of feeling, and pay no attention to the superficial niceties of life. This may make social "mingling" more like an effort than an enjoyment. Honor the solid, two feet on the ground, practicality that is your mainstay. You know the mind is a good servant but a bad boss. Libra (September 23-October 22)
