What does it mean to "interpret" your chart?

It’s like making a great bouillabaisse soup. The goal is that unique, delicious, gourmet taste, but it’s only achieved after all the ingredients are combined, adjusted with seasonings, and finally, stirred together while they cook.

Perhaps you know only the characteristics of your Sun Sign, without the accompaniment of the nine planets surrounding it. That’s like eating a tomato and thinking you know how the soup will taste! Astrology, like a good relationship, is all about the blending together of different elements to make a whole.

The art of astrology creates a marvelous quantum soup--for example, take a sweet soft Pisces Moon, mix it with a hot spicy Leo Sun, add in a sensuous Libra Venus, and stir it around a crunchy Capricorn Mars. All the elements (water, fire, air, and earth) in a big celestial cauldron and astrology can find the compatible blends.

If you’re a carrot wondering how you’ll ever get along with that cold, slippery cucumber, astrology can show you where to find the vinaigrette that blends both your flavors. Likewise, if you’re a down to earth Taurus and don’t think you can be compatible with a traveling Sagittarius, you could be very wrong! All it would take is a pair of like-minded Venuses to mate you for life. Knowing your astrology lets you pay more attention to the soup, rather than the differences in the ingredients.

Today Venus & Mars are face-to-face

Opposites do attract. This old adage is explained by looking through the lens of astrology--it's elementary. Libra's element is air, Aries is fire, and since air feeds fire, these two together create a brighter light for both.

The pull of today's Full Moon in Libra, opposite the Aries Sun, can shed light on your most important partnerships (including the IRS). Today marks the time to complete projects and resolve issues that have occupied your time during the past two weeks. This Full Moon is a time of culmination and harvest for the seeds planted on the Aires New Moon, April 3rd.

Venus is the ruling influence for Libra, and Mars leads Aries. This is why Libra wants beauty and art in her relationships, while Aries wants to march into action and get things done. It's just their astrological nature!

Watch the sky at Sunset, 7:48 p.m. PDT, for the lovely Libra Moon's rising fullness, exact at 7:45 p.m. PDT. Such a perfect balance of Venus and Mars gives pause to wonder...

What happens when Venus turns and looks directly into the eyes of Mars? Is she insisting on confronting issues? Or is this an invitation to be open, to be seen in a full light?
