Don Juan had an astrologer on retainer

Don Juan got away with his heartless seductions because his astrologer advised him of the exact night when Mars opposed Venus, so his timing was perfect! His unsuspecting lovers were star-crossed, without knowing it.

Sweet, compassionate Venus in Pisces is opposed by a precision craftsman, Mars in Virgo. Opposites attract with a passion. A thin line between fight and surrender.
Caution, tonight’s the night. Go and love, if you dare!
The Force of romance is with you.
A Wednesday Welcome to the 1st day of February, 2012.

Aries (March 20-April 19)
Nothing to fear from the heightened passion of today’s stars for you. First, you have the option of expressing this energy in your creativity, which is enormous. Second, did you know that Casanova was an Aries? Yep, the real life famous lover was your fire sign, and although notorious, he was a true romantic. The Moon’s move into Gemini in the late morning will add a fresh breeze through your thinking, and fuel for your fire.

Taurus (April 20-May 20)
During the morning hours you are under the influence of a dream or delusion, pleasant or unpleasant, and you may not know it. Just before the Taurus Moon leaves us, she gets in a tense square with visionary Neptune. Even stable, practical Taurus can get wobbly when the past intrudes on the present. That will clear before noon. The Venus Mars opposition is relatively smooth for you, all in earth and water signs. However, just keep in mind today that when the desires of Mars cannot express themselves fully, the energy turns to war/anger.

Gemini (May 21-June 20)
Hang on through the fog of the morning hours. It will clear beautifully for you when the Moon moves into your sign at 11:15 a.m. As soon as she does, she begins a sparkling relationship with the god of lightening, exact at 2:53 this afternoon. You’ll be looking for excitement. You could just stay home and rearrange the furniture, but your quick mind is looking for something new. It’s a little bit of a set-up for the attractive passion of the Venus/Mars opposition. Just keep in mind, a new relationship that begins under this influence may have a lot of sexual passion, but don’t expect commitment.

Cancer (June 21-July 21)
The morning hours have a blur around the edges of your dreams, and they spill into your day. Any confusion will clear up just before noon when the Moon enters restless Gemini. It’s a fidgety energy, not great for concentrating. The Venus/Mars opposition is kind to you since it occurs in compatible earth and water signs. Keep in mind, Venus is looking for a relationship with mutual attraction, but Mars is looking for self-gratification. Eyes open.

Leo (July 22-August 22)
You may feel a strange frenzy in your mind when the Moon moves into Gemini just before noon. You’re looking for new experiences, and this provides the fuel. Then at 3:42 this afternoon the Venus opposes Mars, in water and earth signs. Not particularly inflammatory for Leo. Still, you may have experiences that prompt you to ask, how close is sexual aggression to out and out combat? How mutual is the attraction, or is it a battle of wills and dominance? For you from Rumi--the power of love came into me, and I became fierce like a lion, then tender like the evening star.

Virgo (August 23-September 22)
Impractical clairvoyance may be operating this morning. You think you’re tuning into some one’s thoughts, but you’re actually projecting your own images. This is Neptune dissolving boundaries between the past and present the unconscious and conscious. But the intensity of the Venus/Mars opposition is working in your favor, with Mars in your sign. You’ll feel very clear about what your want. Just keep in mind that this is a sexual aspect with very little discriminating taste!

Libra (September 23-October 22)
A brain fog hangs over your morning, blurring boundaries and making decisions difficult (as if they weren’t already!). But then the Gemini Moon blows through before lunch time, bringing a string of exciting ideas with her. Then at 3:42 this afternoon, there’s a face off between Venus and Mars. The power of sexual attraction is strong. This will only be a problem in a relationship if one of you are denying the attraction, labeling your feelings “platonic.” This passion, when suppressed, will build steam and erupt as anger--in other words, you’ll pick a fight! The good news is that this is a great energy for artists to create and finish a work of art. Rumi suggests, let yourself be silently drawn by the stronger pull of what you really love.

Scorpio (October 23-November 21)
Visionary, and sometimes delusional, Neptune starts your day with fuzzy boundaries between the past and the present. Some aspect of the real world may be so unappealing right now, that you look for an escape in daydreams. But the bigger picture is the opposites attract energy of Venus and Mars. This is a tame sideline for you since Venus is in your harmonic water sign, Pisces. Still it’s worth mentioning that if you’re in a relationship with someone you used to be sexually intimate with, but now you’re “just friends,” there’s trouble. The sexual attraction that you originally expressed, and now deny, will erupt in frustration and conflict. And since desire is your forte, here’s some Scorpio inspired Rumi--I am iron resisting the most enormous magnet there is.

Sagittarius (November 22-December 20)
Watch the morning hours for Nebulous Neptune’s fuzzy boundaries, throwing a fog over choices and making decisions difficult. Wait until 11:15 a.m. when you’ll get some jet fuel from the Gemini Moon. Excitement will replace doubt. Then at 3:42 this afternoon you’ll perhaps be annoyed by the face off between Venus and Mars. Since it’s in earth and water signs, it may stir more questions than passion for you. This opposition stimulates sexual desire, and asks, are you or your partner “giving” your love, or “taking” someone hostage to your desires? The other side to this energy can find wonderful fulfillment in creating a work of art.

Capricorn (December 21-January 19)
The morning, until just before noon, Nebulous Neptune will be putting a vertigo spin to your emotions. You may be looking for an escape, into the world of your fantasies--the way you wish the world would be. This blurring of boundaries will clear up before noon when the Moon moves into Gemini. Making decisions will be easier, but this edgy and anxious energy can feel like a roller coaster ride--exciting but lots of butterflies. The Venus/Mars attraction strikes a smooth chord with you since Mars is in harmony with your Sun. Still, you should actively create a romantic liaison, even if it’s with the sculpture you’re working on.

Aquarius (January 20-February 17)
You may think you’re in touch with reality, yet some ideas are floating and ungrounded this morning when visionary Neptune blurs the boundaries of your feelings. Old ideas, beliefs you’re carrying from childhood, that you may be dimly aware of are acting on you emotions. They can mislead you. Things clear up beautifully however just before noon when the Moon sails into your harmonic sign, Gemini. Titillating ideas abound, and you can make clear decisions. When the opposites attraction between Mars and Venus heats up around mid-afternoon, you need to free up the expression of your passions, whether romantic or artistic.

Pisces (February 18-March 19)
Your ruler, Neptune, makes a mushy mess of your emotional boundaries this morning. Try to postpone any vital decisions until after noon. Then, around mid-afternoon, Mars faces Venus in his most captivating way. But, Casanova is much more your style than Don Juan. Casanova was a true romantic, devoted to love. Although he had a volatile Aries Sun, he had both Venus and Mars paired together in Pisces--the sweetest of all lovers.
