September's Harvest Moon Shines On...

What do Yoda and Mr. Miyagi have in common with September’s Harvest Moon? Both of these characters provided ancient knowledge to young initiates, the “job” of Chiron, a new planet discovered in 1977. Chiron, known as the wounded healer, has joined his power with this Pisces Harvest Moon.

In mythology, Chiron was a pragmatic teacher who initiated warriors into the sacred ways of healing power, seen in 1980 as Yoda, the jedi master, and four years later in Mr. Miyagi, in The Karate Kid (1984). These wise, yet wounded, teachers act as a bridge between the limitations of the physical plane and the power of our higher consciousness.

“If you don’t understand life, you haven’t been watching enough movies!” Steve Martin.

When movies become immensely popular, like Star Wars and The Karate Kid, it’s because they speak to our collective consciousness. They are archetypes, collectively inherited patterns, often unconscious, that are the backstory to our lives. We buy theater tickets so we can witness our new perceptions in technicolor, on the big screen, with rebel rousing music that inspires the warriors within us--the heros we came here to be.

“Hm, how you walk on road? Walk on right side, safe. Walk on left side, safe. Walk in middle, sooner or later, squish! Just like grape.” Mr. Miyagi

Have you chosen? We’re still standing at the revolutionary crossroads. Are you a physical body, loaded with limitations? Or, are you spirit, a magnificently powerful being? The sixth of seven decision points is coming December 14th.

“Luminous beings are we. Not this crude matter.” Yoda; The Empire Strikes Back

Like kara-te, “empty hand,” Chiron’s the energy of healing hands--yours. Sacred warriors, carrying the life force that can save the tribe.
